August Meeting
June Becht, 1904
World's Fair Society member, will present a fascinating program on the
1904 St. Louis Olympics, held in conjunction with the Fair. These were the
first Olympics in the United States
and first to award gold, silver and bronze
medals for first, second and third places. June will show images
taken by the famous photographer, Jesse Tarbox Beals, who was the subject of an earlier
presentation this year.
