1. The Thursday May 1st walking tour of Forest Park led by Forest Park Forever Volunteers WFS Treasurer Marv Sher and his wife Sandy was shown on "Show Me St. Louis ". The program aired on KSDK Channel 5 on Friday May 2nd at 3PM and was repeated on Monday at 10;30AM. The view the TV presentation just click on this "Show Me St. Louis" link Besides members of the public, the tour included WFS members Mark Eisenberg, Pat and Criag Osterberg, Dianne Rademacher, Max and Shara Storm and Cathy Wipperman. Marv's Forest Park tour will be repeated on Thursday June12th, Thursday June 26th and Thursday July 10th. All tours leave the Visitor Center at 10AM and no reservations are required.
2. The dates, locations and programs have been updated through the remainder of 2008. Please see "meetings" for more information.
3. Jan Green has rejoined the Speakers Bureau. Jan and Elaine Lopez will coordinate the the Speaker's Bureau presentations. These presentations serve as a valuable means of providing education and information about our fair and recruiting new members. More information about the Bureau can be found on our Home page. If you know of any group that desires a presentation on the Fair, have them contact Jan or Elaine.
5. The "1904 World's Fair Society" brick is now in place at the restored Government Hill. The brick is at the base of the hill between the Kerth Fountain and Government Drive. This brick will ensure that the "1904 Worlds Fair Society" will always be a part of Forest Park. Our brick is in the "Hickory Section" of the brick plaza.
