1. The 2011 Officers were elected at the November meeting to serve for the 2012 Calendar year.  The Officers reappointed the 2011 Directors to continue for another year. The Officers and Directors for 2012 can be found on the Leadership page of the website.

3. Director of Exploitation Celeste Prinz did some extra research on President Grant and his Hardscrabble cabin for our May meeting at White Haven (Grant’s home) and special event at Grant’s Farm (to tour Hardscrabble).  She provided some copies to some who were able to attend the Hardscrabble tour, and would like to make it available to all members.  Click “here” to see the results of her research.  Also, be sure and check the "Meeting Photos" section of the website of photographs for pictures of all Society meetings.

 

4. The Society was honored during it's April 30th Birthday Meeting by the City of St. Louis. The Board of Aldermen adopted a resolution which is up on the St. Louis City's Library's website.  The link to the resolution is  http://previous.slpl.org/cco/ords/data/resolutions/res110005.htm.

5. The "World's Fair Links" page has been updated to include a digitized copy of the 200 page "Official Gide to the Louisiana Purchase Exposition" published for visitors to the Exposition in 1904.  Also added was a digitized copy of the Thursday June 16th "Official Daily Program" which shows the events of that day and is typical of the programs that were published for each day of the Fair. Several book reviews have been added.
